After School Programs

STAR

STAR is a private, fee-based non-profit program available to WPUSD students before and after school at the following sites:
  • Creekside Oaks Elementary School - 916.434.8085
  • Foskett Ranch Elementary School - 916.434.5884
  • Lincoln Crossing Elementary School - 916.409.0797
  • Twelve Bridges Elementary School - 916.434.6542

STAR Education's mission is to offer extended educational, recreational, and enrichment programs to students; support and enhance school curriculum; improve student achievement; and expand the cultural base of young people through innovative, quality programs offered by highly qualified instructors.

CARE

CARE is a district-sponsored after-school program for elementary students from end of school until 6pm at the following sites:
  • Sheridan Elementary School - 530.633.8119 or 530.633.2591 (school office)
  • Creekside Oaks Elementary School - 916.434.7282
  • First Street School - 916.434.5038
An after-school program for middle-school students (called Panther Pride) is available at:
  • Glen Edwards Middle School - 916.645.4020
The CARE and Panther Pride programs are available on all school days and Early Release Days. The program is closed on holidays, zero days, and student recess days. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

This program is FREE.
